The updated guidance highlights and speaks to key GCR principles, including the primacy of government leadership and the importance of promoting a whole-of society approach. It also underscores the centrality of protection to the RCM. It emphasises the importance of
coherent humanitarian-development-peace approaches and sustainable programming, with UN agencies and partners working together to avert conflict, sustain peace, and foster development, ensuring that refugees are meaningfully engaged in all phases.
