21st General Assembly
Today, ICVA held its 21st General Assembly, bringing together members from across the humanitarian network to reflect, connect, and look ahead.
Our Chair Nimo Hassan presented an overview of ICVA's work in 2025.
Members voted to approve our 2025 audited financial statements, signalling trust in our accountability and stewardship of resources.
But the most important moment was a call to action.
Professor Jemilah Mahmood spoke directly about the need for courage in civil society - to challenge power and build movements for meaningful change. At a time when humanitarian space is shrinking and the pressure to conform is real, that message resonated.
As one member highlighted: "Change happens at the speed of trust."
ICVA exists to build that trust and courage, and to help civil society turn it into action to better serve and advocate for people affected by crisis.
Thank you to our members, Board, and Secretariat.
